Meet Dr. Casiano: |
Dr. Manuel A. Casiano grew up in New York City and San Juan, Puerto Rico. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1978, and received his MD degree from New York University Medical School in 1982. He served his internship and residency in General Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, where he also completed his year as Chief Resident.
Dr. Casiano is board certified in Surgery by the American Board of Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.). He is a member of numerous surgical associations, and has been practicing General Surgery at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick since 1987.
Dr. Casianos special professional interests include: advanced minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery (including gallbladder, hernia, and gastric surgery), benign and malignant diseases of the breast, and general abdominal and gastrointestinal surgery. He takes great pride in the caring, personal approach he strives to achieve with his patients.
Dr. Casiano lives in Frederick with his wife and two children, and enjoys reading, flying, cooking and traveling.
