Surgeons

Our surgeons are certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). Their specialized training has given them skill in the diagnosis and management of a multitude of surgical problems.   Our surgeons have all been trained at major American universities

Board Certification involves:

	Graduation from a four-year, accredited medical school
	Completion of 5 years intensive postgraduate training at an approved residency training center
	Passing comprehensive written and oral examinations

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) has met the requirements of the American College of Surgeons (ACS):

	Must have been in surgical practice (after residency training) for at least 2 years.
	Must have attained Board Certification by the American Board of Surgery (ABS).
	Must show proof of extensive surgical experience.
	Must undergo oral interview and examination.
	One may then be designated a "Fellow" in this esteemed society.
